We are located at 1030 Marina Village Pkwy, Alameda, CA 94501, a convenient location serving folks up and down the peninsula. You will board 'Untethered' via an accessible guest dock which is right at the center of the Marina. Additionally, we are a short ride through the estuary getting you out on your adventure in the bay in no time.

The Marina Village has ample parking available. From the parking lot, it is a short walk to Gate 9 to enter the dock where you’ll board.

We ask that you wear soft-soled shoes (no high heels) for your comfort and safety. Prior to every excursion, we will check the weather and brief you on what you need to wear to be most comfortable. Typically, layers are your friend. Regardless, we always recommend sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.

Rest assured, we are experienced sailors who will select our route and departure time to ensure a comfortable experience. In addition to proper planning, we have plenty of tricks up our sleeve to make your ride most enjoyable.

We can accommodate up to 12 guests. 

At Untethered Sailing, we prioritize safety and expertise when it comes to taking the helm of our cherished catamaran, Untethered. We require documented prior experience on sailing catamarans, relevant United States Coast Guard certifications, and referrals to ensure your utmost confidence and competence while sailing.

However, when you opt for a crewed charter, sailing experience is not necessary. A professional captain, and possibly additional crew members, will be onboard to ensure your safety and skillfully navigate the yacht. Please note that the captain's fees are separate from the charter cost and must be paid directly to the captain as mandated by law. Overnight rates are also available for your convenience.

To further enhance your sailing experience, we provide a curated list of highly qualified captains who are well-equipped to accompany you aboard Untethered, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable adventure.

Uncharted charters offer bareboat rentals for $500 an hour, with a two-hour minimum, up to a full day or even overnight. The more hours you book, the greater the discount we offer!
